چکیده

Abstract The discrete epipolar line, a discrete version of the epipolar line, is recently proposed to give geometric relationships between pixels in two different views so that we can directly deal with pixels rather than points in digital images. A method is then proposed to determine the discrete epipolar line providing that fully calibrated images are available. This paper deals with weakly calibrated digital images and proposes a method for determining the discrete epipolar line using only weakly calibrated images. This paper also deepens the work further, presenting a method for identifying the corresponding pixels in two views.

Multi-view Tensors

The last few years have seen considerable interest in a the analysis and application of multilinear relations between corresponding features in images taken with a perspective camera. Given a point in space seen in two images, the image points satisfy an epipolar constraint expressed by the fundamental matrix. This is a 3× 3 matrix F that satisfies the equation x′ Fx = 0 where x and x′ are any ...

Intermediate View Generation of Soccer Scene from Multiple Videos

This paper introduces a novel method for generating an intermediate view of soccer scene taken by multiple video cameras. In the proposed method, soccer scene is classified into dynamic regions, a field region, and a background region. Using epipolar geometry in the first region and homography in the second, dense correspondence is obtained to interpolate views. For the third region, partial ar...

Automatic extraction of moving objects from UAV-borne monocular images using multi-view geometric constraints

This paper proposes a method to detect dynamic objects in the images obtained by a small UAV. Two geometric constraints in multi-view images are used to classify each of the extracted featurepoints as static or dynamic. The first constraint is the epipolar constraint which requires static points to lie on the corresponding epipolar lines in the subsequent image. The second constraint, named as ...

Image Inpainting using Two -View Epipolar Geometry

We take a fresh look at the problem of removing occluders in an image using inpainting. We examine a geometric method that utilizes a second image of the scene from a different viewpoint, to identify the occluded objects. We recover the missing intensities by using the geometric relationship between corresponding points in the two images. The relationship is generally specified by the “epipolar...

Epipolar Geometry from Temporal Signatures and Dynamic Silhouettes

Epipolar geometry between two images is normally computed by matching feature points between the images. When not enough feature points can be found, e.g. when the camera viewpoints vary greatly, epipolar geometry can be computed from video sequences showing moving objects visible in the two videos. We present a temporal signature for lines: a binary temporal sequence, indicating for each frame...
